I am a registered wellness and therapeutic professional counsellor and an incest survivor. With both professional expertise and lived experience, I provide a compassionate, trauma-informed approach to healing.
I understand the challenges of this journey and am dedicated to fostering a space of safety, empowerment, and connection.
If you’re unsure, you’re not alone, many survivors wonder if their experience “counts” or if they’re ready for this kind of work. This group is for adult women (inclusive of trans and non-binary folks who feel connected to womanhood) who have experienced sexual harm within family relationships or close familial dynamics — even if it wasn’t labeled as abuse at the time. If you’re seeking a space that honors safety, gentleness, and connection while exploring healing, this may be for you.
Incest refers to any form of sexual abuse, assault, or coercion that happens within a family system or dynamic. This includes abuse by parents, siblings, cousins, grandparents, stepparents, and even close family friends or figures who held a trusted or familial role in your life. Whether it happened once or over a period of time, your experience is valid and worthy of care.
No one is required to share beyond their comfort level. The group focuses on healing, connection, and moving forward rather than retelling traumatic events.
Completely. Most people feel anxious about opening up in a group setting — especially around something as sensitive as sexual trauma. We spend time building trust slowly, and you're encouraged to take things at your own pace.
Yes. Confidentiality is a core value of this group. Everything shared in our sessions is held with deep respect and will never be disclosed outside the group. Group members will also be asked to agree to this shared commitment. Your safety, emotional and otherwise, comes first.
No. This is a support and psychoeducation group led by a trained facilitator. While it provides healing tools, it is not a replacement for individual therapy.
That’s okay! You are welcome to reach out for a consultation to see if this is the right time for you.
